Day 42- No, we didn't get eaten by bears-just computer issues

She said for we said: Got back to our campsite late last night and tried to do the blog. Didn't have much for service and the battery wasn't fully charged so it was a long and frustrating process trying to get the pictures we took uploaded and our blog typed. Anyway after getting a few pics up and typing everything in the computer froze and the blog didn't get published. When we checked it, only the pic of Old Faithful was there....appropriate. Anyway, we decided to call it a night and I am in the campground laundromat plugged in and doing yesterdays blog while Paul rides to the first of three Continental Divides he will pedal over today. We had a fantastic day yesterday. Riding to Norris (about 40 miles from our site--this park is enormous) to see geysers, mudpots, etc. we passed through Hayden Flats where a large herd of bison live. You can see from the picture you get up close and personal with the fellows as they frequently stop traffic with their afternoon strolls. Went to Canyon and saw a mini version of the Grand Canyon and then on to Old Faithful. It was a perfect day, beautiful scenery, and we couldn't have asked for more, except for maybe time to explore more of the park. We will have to come back and spend a week sometime. Will publish more tonite after our day is done. Paul will be riding from the South Entrance through the park and out the West Gate today-that will be 68 of his miles.

Out for a stroll.

  1. You guys are killing me. Jen and I were supposed to go to Yellowstone right about now for our 25th anniversary but Life (spelled W-o-r-k) got in the way and we're going to have to try some other time. I am enjoying seeing it all vicariously through you though, so keep the pictures and captions coming.
