She said: Spent a perfectly enjoyable day in St Louis. Had a nice breakfast, then on to the Gateway Arch. Toured the museum at the Jefferson National Park then walked around the area known as Old St Louis waiting for our Arch tour time. The museum was dedicated to the Western Expansion, which fortified us for the trip west. We will meet up with the Lewis and Clark Trail when we get into Wyoming or Idaho, not exactly sure where. The Arch is enormous. They have two "trams", one from each side, with eight cars or pod looking things, that go up to the top of each leg. Each pod seats five. It takes four minutes to ride up, it seemed alot shorter going down. There is a row of windows at the top on each side. To the east you see the Mississippi and Illinois-to the west is the city of St. Louis. Incredible....and I visited another National Park! After a long drive back to where we left off, we got a place to stay at a nice RV park with a brand new "motel" with 3 lovely rooms. Back on the road tomorrow...Paul trying to relax and get a good nights sleep, so no "he said" tonite.
This is the new stem. There is a ring through the stem that the screw and plates go through to tighten the seat and keep it from tipping back and forth. The ring was spinning inside the old stem and so there was nothing to keep the seat from "rocking" back and forth as you ride...not very easy riding.
This is part of the ride yesterday-you can sort of see the roller coaster.
Paul took this picture looking back at where "he" rode. Several of the ups and downs are not visible in the picture.

Standing underneath and looking up.
Standing at the entrance to the Visitors Center and looking back.
Looking east from the top, across the Mississippi and into Illinois.
Looking down you could see the shadow of the Arch below.
It casts a big shadow.
Up at the top-you can see the windows in the background.
Out the west windows, into the park-you can see the leg of the Arch.
The Cardinals stadium from the west windows.
